Founded by Thomas Leung in 2009, Leung Gallery is currently the sole gallery worldwide that is managed by the Leung family. As the display and collection platform for Leung style works of art, Leung Gallery is dedicated to showcasing the best in contemporary Chinese art. The history behind the art of H. Leung can be dated back to the 1949, when H. Leung moved from his hometown in Guangdong province to Hong Kong, where he fell in love with oil painting. Driven by his passion, he was self-taught and went on to establish the iconic Leung style, which caused a great uproar in Hong Kong’s art circles. In 1978, H. Leung moved to the United States together with his wife and four sons and from then on, a brand new chapter for Leung art began to unfold. Deeply influenced by their father’s works from childhood, the first son, Thomas Leung, and the third son, Richard Leung, inherited their father’s talent and formed their own unique style in oil painting. H. Leung, together with his sons, began Leung Studio located in Hayward, CA, and dove into the business of printing, framing, and art licensing for their unique artworks. Over the years, the works by the Leung family of artists have been shown and collected in several art exhibitions, museums and galleries worldwide. The limited-reproduction and open editions of artworks have also garnered a great market around the world. The published album, “The Art of H. Leung, Thomas Leung & Richard Leung”, is highly regarded and can be found on sites like Amazon and Ebay.
